A long time ago in the eighties I was on a vacation with friends in what was then called Yugoslavia. We staid on a camping ground in Baška Voda and we got friendly with other campers all from Yugoslavia. There where no travellers from other countries on this camping site at the time.
With one of those campers we met there I staid in contact with letters and postcards. Sent from different addresses in at first Yugoslavia and later Swiss. She was called Slavica Perovic and her nickname was Maja. This lasted about 5-6 years when I had a change of address and the war broke out in Yugoslavia. We all moved on and we lost contact. I still have the letters from her and always was curious what happened to her. Is she still alive? Did she succeed fullfilling her dreams?
At some point she moved to Swiss to live there as I can tell from her letters. Below I show some pictures of her from the eighties which she sent me at the time.
If someone knows how she is doing (or if she herself finds this page) please let me know how she is doing and what life has brought her. My email henk.verbeek100 (AT) gmail.com (please change the (AT) with @ )
